Our Campaigns

Notts to Worksop campaigns for fairer and better public transport services for communities across North Nottinghamshire. We aim to provide residents with a voice to create change in their communities to fight for better access to transport services that have been cut off or forgotten for far too long.

Our goal is to ensure that our local communities are given the necessary transport services to best serve the community interest for many years to come.

Sunday Service - Petition

We the undersigned are calling on the Secretary of State for Transport [Rt. Hon Grant Shapps MP] and East Midlands Railway to implement a regular Sunday service from Nottingham to Worksop in order to connect all stations on the Robin Hood Line.

Many of our rural communities are cut off from the outside world every Sunday due to the bizarre fact that East Midlands Railway does not run a regular Sunday service from Nottingham to Worksop, and so those members of our community whom are most reliant on the rail service are cut off from moving around with freedom.

We hope that the Secretary of State for Transport and East Midlands Railway will see the importance of this issue to local residents and that by implementing this regular Sunday service that they will be providing opportunities to many people in rural communities, but also giving many of our less mobile greater freedom.
